Ok well, if I could go back in time and tell you how many hours and days I spent playing this game, it would probably explain why my grades in school were so bad. I absolutely have to say that Tetris is not only a classic, but it is permanently embedded into my brain. I think that this game was way beyond its time when you compare it to some of the other games in its day.
If I ever got to the 20th level I would be happy.
I was never successful enough to win the game. I think you have to be near genius level to beat the game. I hated it when you really went far, and you just needed a certain piece and it wouldn’t come. Not until all the blocks you didn’t want fell, and the one you finally needed showed up right when you couldn’t make any more moves. I used to think that if I got far enough in the game, Nintendo would know and send me off to their competition for "better" Tetris players.
I did begin to wonder why is it that they would only have a few songs to play. You would have to listen
to it over and over and over. Now if you play the game for 6 hours a day then don’t you think they would maybe have had cooler songs? I guess not. I mean it was the 80's or early 90's. So they weren’t that advanced at that time. I shouldn’t be so picky, huh? They have other versions of Tetris but I have say, the original is still the best.
With all my complaining about the lack of technology and crappy music, this original is always a pleasure to play. IF anything, it will certainly bring you back to the many hours that you wasted your life trying to beat the game. Makes me want to get the Nintendo started and try to get the game to work again. Or better yet, just download it on here. It’s much easier. You don’t have to blow into your Nintendo to get it to work. You know you want to play it. So just download the game, get comfortable too. Your butt I’m going to get sore.
There will be many hours spent listening to Russian music and trying to get that perfect piece and scoring all those bonus points. So good luck to you all, enjoy the game and remember, Tetris is the greatest game!!
