Game Review 1 (written by Chrissi) Added on: 11/23/2007
Wheel of Fortune 3rd Edition is game show creation based on the ever so famous television program watched by millions. The object of this game is to solve the word puzzle by spinning this huge wheel that has money prizes and bonus prizes filling it. Every time you guess a letter that is on the board you will get another chance at spinning the wheel and selecting another letter until you choose one that is not on the word puzzle.
There are three people competing to solve this puzzle, each taking turns at spinning the wheel. On the wheel there are a few places that are not fun to get. These spaces consist of Bankrupt which is where you loose all the money you’ve previously won during this game, lose a turn which is plain and simple you loose your turn, and lastly free spin which can be used to get another spin if you select a letter that is no on the board.
During your turn you will have three opinions to try. There is the option to spin the wheel, another to buy a vowel, which costs $250 of your earnings, and the best one solve the puzzle. At the end of the game whoever has the most earnings throughout the entire game becomes the winner and has the chance to take part in the bonus puzzle which you take part on your own. You will have 15 seconds to solve a puzzle after selecting five consonants and a vowel to be uncovered. There are five letters and a vowel given to you which consist of R, S, T, L, N and the vowel E. If you are able to solve the puzzle you will win the big prize, which can be a motor home, a Cadillac or $25,000.
Wheel of Fortune is definitely a very addicting game to play and watch. If you’ve enjoyed the television show over the years then I think it’s time to play it yourself since it is so hard to get on the actual gaming show. It isn’t too complicated to play and most of the puzzles are easy to determine after a few rounds of guessing letters. Wheel of Fortune 3rd Edition is by far a great addition for the fans of this ever so popular game already. There is no possible way to find yourself wanting to stop playing this game, even if you are loosing round after round. There are endless possibilities and tons of money just sitting there waiting to be won. Now just if you were winning all these prizes for real!

The game play is fantastic, the sounds are great! Definite pluses are the optional mouse or keyboard input giving the player flexibility with comfort. It allows the player to further customize their gaming experience. There is a fairly decent variety of prizes although the amount of money added to the wheel is always the same. There isn't a lot to this game; it is limited with its creativity. However, this is to be expected considering the time in which this game was released. There could stand to be a little bit more of a variety with the puzzles, sounds, characters, graphics, etc. To put it simply, there really isn't very much to choose from which is why we liked the convenience and ability to choose whether or not to use the mouse or the keyboard.
The graphics are top notch and great. I think this is part of the reason we enjoyed the game so much. Playing the updated versions of Wheel of Fortune can be fun, but it doesn't leave you feeling nostalgic, longing for your childhood even.
Overall, I would definitely recommend downloading this game. It's fun, challenging and an interesting way to pass the time. You’ll be impressed and satisfied!
