Game Review (written by Dragons_blood) Added on: 10/10/2006
This is a very cool game it’s very similar to all of the final fantasy games. There is one notable difference though a lot of the game revolves around one character instead of three to four stories happening at once. Which is a fact of the game that just frankly is much more missed but its ok because in the scenario the whole story is sub divided within the original story so that’s fine.
The graphics are very advanced for 1996 game.
It’s not so far up there like the final fantasy games but for its era and not being a square and/or a squre soft game, it’s very good.
The battle system is just like the final fantasy games in the fact that its all turn based and with similar parts to it in which when you die you have things like phoenix downs and life in your magic selection to help you out.
It also has a nice way of rewarding you with your trials and errors there’re many, many mini games which are really cool now. This is also a difference in the game with final fantasy the mini games get harder yes but it takes time. With this game the

mini games are easy but they jump up really quickly in the difficult scale. The wandering is still the same with this after all it is an RPG. You still have some of the annoyances like running from town to town if you don’t have something or you desperately need something like a sword or a staff. But even still it keeps you going and interested in the game.
The music is very good it’s just like square’s games, it’s so cool and it really fits the mood and situation of the battle or the scene you are in. The save points are non existent you can save any where, which helps a lot since most of the time in the squre games you have to go to a town or out on the map, which is sometimes a big pain in the ass to do but with this it’s very intuitive. Especially with the menu system its interface is so easy to use it’s all right there and categorized for you so you don’t have to go into everything and find what you are looking for. It’s all broken down for you and the scenery is vast and amazing for a 1996 game it’s got a lot of color and depth to it that kind of sort surpasses final fantasy in a way, it just depends on where you are. All in all this is an excellent game.
