Game Review (written by Eric) Added on: 03/20/2008
If you enjoy playing role playing games with fantasy and fairy tale themes then the game Halls of the Dead: Faery Tales Adventure 2 is perfect for you.
The game takes a while to learn and get used to so you will most likely spend several minutes learning the game before you can fully enjoy it. When you already understand how the game works, you will most likely spend many hours playing it. This game may lack some of the brilliance of more poplar role playing games but it is fun enough for days when you really want to play an alternative game to your favorite video game.
The game will have you playing the role of the following brothers: Julian, Philip and Kevin. You can actually control the brothers as one party or when they have gained enough strength and experiences, you can separate the three brothers and send each one to a different direction. The game will start inside the city. You will have to explore the city and walk into the houses of the non playing characters to get different items that you can take to the pawnshop to sell. Yes, you read that right you will be stealing items from people’s houses. Once you have collected enough money you can buy the weapons and the armors that you need the game. After you have purchased weapons you can now walk outside of the city and go against different creatures that you will meet in the way. You will have to kill trolls, goblins and other creatures and also get their things. You can also interact with the other characters in the game. When you talk to different characters, you can get information that may lead you to other adventures. The adventures are varied and really add to the value of the game and the experience that gamers gain from it.
The game has amazing graphics that are rich in details and textures. It’s not as beautiful as some of the more recent releases of RPG but it is impressive nonetheless.
The game is highly imaginative and fun. It may not be the best RPG out there but I still believe this game is worthy of being part of everyone’s list of favorite games. The game may have been originally created for little children but the game is good enough to be played by adults.
