Hexx is very similar to other role games of that time. An evil wizard has trapped 4 good gods (on your side) into 4 separate talismans. Your task is to search the dangerous dungeons for these artifacts. You can choose from 16 different characters. Once you get the talismans with the gods inside, you must take all four pieces to the top of the wizard’s castle, where the talismans will join together and free the good gods.
You can choose from assassin, ranger, wizard and fighter. The game has 45 different levels, involving several dungeons.
This game has first person view. It incorporates many ideas from similar games of that time. It involves you basically to crawling around the dungeons, defeating monsters, resting/healing. It is an action game as well, but isn't as fast paced as some other games.
There are many monsters in Hexx, such as minotaurs, undead, dwarves, who all seem to dislike adventurers. There are also a lot of puzzles in the game, like buttons, keys etc. The dungeons are all well thought out and aren't too confusing. Most of the time you have 2 or more choices of where to go, but it isn’t a game, where you feel like it is a random maze, which was made to trap you or something like this.
Someone
may consider that this game is too simple for their liking, but overall it was a good game at that time. If you like old role playing games, then this is definitely worth hit. I also advise you to download other games of this genre.
