Mad Paradox

Game Review (written by Lindsay2) Added on: 11/25/2007
Mad Paradox is an old school role playing game (RPG) that was designed in hentai style and was finally translated into English in 1994. It is a basic RPG that lacks all the style and uniqueness that you see in any of today’s games in the same genre. The story line is the same old: boy loses father to death and is now out to seek revenge. The character’s name is Mash who was orphaned due to the death of his father.
He grew up in a little town called Dorah.
The game does not play on gamers want and need of action and adventure, but does play on the want and need of dirty pictures. This town of few residents has some that are helpful and give advice and has others that completely ignore the fact that Mash even exists. It seems you can walk right through the unhelpful townies and they do not even care. There is a beautiful girl that is totally in love with him, but he doesn’t even notice that she is alive, let alone her name. This lack of social development probably leaves Mash to be an ungrateful person.
Eventually, his guardian, Ol’Samos wants to talk to him

and it changes his life. He is told by the old man that some young girl has been kidnapped and can only be identified by a weird marking somewhere on her body. The old geezer can’t tell Mash where the girl came from, only the fact that she is a very important chick and he is the only one that can save her, and ultimately the world. After retrieving his dad’s sword from the abandoned family castle on the edge of town and finally sleeping with the girl (the one he doesn’t even know her name), he decides that he will do it, if only to get out of the boring town of Dorah and have a shot at revenging his parents death.
On the way to save this marked chick, he goes through small towns, fights monsters and gets a couple of people to help him along the way. The game lacks imagination and in order to hold your attention for any amount of time, has to depend on your actions and what choices you make. If you do not like role playing games, then this game is not for you.
