This game was really fun back in the day. Looking back on it now, it almost seems horrible but at the same time, simulators haven't seemed to have come all that much further as it is. I remember flying over my homeland and seeing nothing but green ground and feeling disappointed but it was fun nevertheless and killed many hours of my childhood. Also, oceans and beaches could have been emphasized much more.
I know there were a lot of limited resources during that time but sometimes a game producer is so anxious to get a game out there faster than the next guy that they sacrifice many things in the long-run hoping to make it up to their customers by later offering patches and tweaks to fix it.

Let’s face it, what do you really expect from a simulator around this timeframe. I actually thought all around in general, it was a good game. After booting it up about 3 or 4 times though you just feel like it has been played out (i.e. No replay value). The interface on the airplanes themselves were fairly detailed and having grown up around my father who worked in the airline industry for over 43 years there were a lot of realistic aspects to the game that might otherwise go unnoticed.
I can't seem to say much more about this game as it is only one out of two flight simulators I have ever played. The manual for game play was much more intuitive than I had originally assumed it would be. And the charts and maps that you could print helped a lot. Assuming you have a printer.
