Game Review (written by Chrissi) Added on: 11/17/2007
Elite Plus is an old space trading simulation. It has a very complex and deep plot to it. You will be teleporting and flying between various planets to buy and sell various goods. Some items that you may be selling are things like weapons and even slaves.
The graphics have been very well done in a 3D form. For the years that the game was created you wouldn’t expect this much detail done to it, but the creators definitely took their time in the creation of the visual game.
The sound hasn’t had too much done to it. When it comes to the fighting effects you’ll hear regular bleeps. The menu is the only part of the game that does have music placed on it, but it is a great classic song that suits the game quite well.
The game play in itself has been very well thought out. Elite Plus is a freelance type game. You have a lot of capability when it comes to the things you are taking part in throughout the game. The main objective for the game is to trade a lot of items, but you want to try buying low and selling high to earn more money. There is also the ability to attack other ships and take all their money. This feature gives the game a little added feature that makes the game even more enjoyable. The level of difficulty of this game isn’t too difficult. With the amount of things that you have control of you can choose pretty well how hard you would want the game to be. If you don’t want to have confrontations with other ships and they don’t attack you, then don’t attack them and keep going about your way.
Elite Plus is the continuation of the original Elite. There hasn’t been any additional feature added on to Elite Plus to give it that well needed difference than the original. Elite Plus though in itself is a well-done game graphically and in the game play. There could have been a few missions added on, but even without any changes you will still find yourself going from planet to planet in search of new items and deals. Elite Plus is a very highly addictive game and would recommend to any player who loves games that they have a lot of control in the way it plays out. The best thing to do in this game is to make sure you sell high and always buy low, you are trying to get tons of money remember.

Elite Plus is an update of the classic Elite by Ian Bell and David Braben. It’s the same space trading game but this time with filled polygons, better graphics. Why they don't make more games like this I'll never understand.
