There is the inclusion of a map containing the entire Pacific Ocean, which will show all the available home ports and all the cities that are still friendly with your side. The player will determine his or her own home port
who will then determine their patrol zone.
You will utilize a boat that will monitor the areas you have as patrol zones. With this you will know when an enemy is coming near if you are in the area that they are travelling through at the time. There will be many random meetings with enemies that just come out of nowhere. You will get to view these encounters for a camera angle that is similar to how you would see things through a submarine utilizing the periscope. Your patrols can only last so long since your fuel is not unlimited. Keep an eye on this area or you may find yourself stranded.
With the careers you will get to take part in several different patrols at once. When it comes to these encounters you may have the option to shadow the convoys either attacking during the night or in a position facing forward.
During your travels you may have encounters with aircraft carriers and battleships. These may be a little more difficult to intercept, but with some practice you may be capable of doing it.
With the graphics being great for being released in 1990 they will definitely keep up with games designed in the years of 2000. Silent Service sequel became one of the first games to utilize 256 colour graphics, so you know it’s going to be good graphically.
