The
goal of the game is to build a city on a bare territory. You will be in charge of building all the facilities that the city needs to have happy residents. The facilities include electricity, water, garbage disposal, roads and other.
You must build housing zones for people to move to your city. You must also create industry zone and commercial zones to complete your city. You must also build schools, hospitals and police offices in the city. To keep the happiness level of the residents, you must also build entertainment facilities in your city. Some of the facilities that are available are museums, marinas, zoos and others. The facilities require money to build. There are different types for each facility. For example, there are different types of electric facilities and these facilities have different attributes and also have different costs. You must weigh what kind of facilities will have more value for you especially in the beginning when you don’t have a lot of money and there will be so many facilities and structures that need to be built.
Your goal is to keep the residents of the city happy so that they will continue to live in your city. If they are unhappy, they will leave the city leaving residential spaces and industries abandoned.
Your city will earn money from taxes that you can collect from industries and from the other zones in the city. You will be responsible for setting the taxes. You must work hard to keep the balance in the city so that you can collect the best tax rates that will allow you to earn income for the city and not cause your residents to become unhappy. You will be able to monitor the status of the city through a newspaper that will show the latest goings-on in the city. There will also be some key people who will give you some advice regarding running the city. You don’t have to follow the suggestions all the time as you can not please everybody all the time. You just have to make sure you find a balance.
