Game Review (written by Lauriekimble) Added on: 01/29/2007
SimSafari is an extraordinary game for people of all ages. The game best fits to younger children. It is a good game for younger kids because there is only one way you can lose. That is by running out of money, which is virtually impossible to do because all of the items in the game are so cheap. It is one of the more "recent" games from maxis.
Even though the game is new and one not like the rest it is very easy to catch on to.
The game reminds me of a combination of the other games that maxis have to offer the public. If you enjoy playing the SimSafari game, or your kids enjoy playing it other games I would suggest are; the rollercoaster tycoon, or any of the other products that maxis has made. The chances of you needing another game, however, is very unlikely.
All of these games are very addictive, fun, and easy to play. They don't require a lot of effort which is a nice way to just relax and get full enjoyment. The sims games are one of the most highly growing computer game out there. Since when has building houses, killing people, and seating houses on fire not been considered

fun? With the sims you are in control of everything. You get to "play god", so to speak.
Any eight to thirteen year old kid would love the opportunity to destroy homes and send havoc to families and neighborhoods, which is exactly why I would suggest this game to any gamer out there. You don't need to play other games in order to grasp the concept of this one. It comes to anyone and is very easy to play, and have fun while doing so. The only "bad thing" about this game is the lack of being able to do things. You don't get to control all that much, and there are really no people you can control, you basically just get to build things and buy animals and place them in certain places.
The graphics, however, are very nice. There are very realistic features that are included in this game, there are details in the different types of plants and trees. The animals are very precise as well. Other than the lack of being able to do things with the game, it has some very good qualities that are important to many kids when they go to pick out a game to play. They look and notice the realistic ness of the animals and grass and trees. Altogether it is a nice game to play and download.

A great game, I didn't even know until now that it was DOS, I thought it was a more modern game though it's been a long time since I've played it. That's obviously saying something for the graphics! It can't catch up with the games of the time, but I still say that it's beautiful and it has some fun quirks. If I remember correctly there's a dropdown list of various disasters that you could have occur. Flood, fire, drought.and my favorite, alien invasion XD I wonder who thought to add that one in! But it is certainly fun to see what will pop up written in the grass. Even better are the challenge games! I remember one where the population of rabits was out of control, little white bunnies everywhere and.well, you can get a sick sort of satisfaction from setting lions on them all to try and fix the upset environment. All in all I'd give this game an 8 out of 10 from what I remember of it. I think it wasn't as addictive as other SimGames, but I know I always went back for more!

Great family type game. All should try it. Fun for all ages. One of the best economic simulations ever.

Oh, goodness I still have the CD for this game. I loved it. It teaches people how to manage and be all responsible like when running a business.

SimSafari is a fun game. The game play is unique because you have to make a place for your tourists to stay and you have to make the wild life pretty and diverse.
