Game Review 1 (written by Nerasj) Added on: 03/12/2007
Actua Soccer 3 has to be my all time favorite soccer game to play. The graphics aren’t the best, but some of the game play options are way better than any soccer game before and some games after it. I love the custom team ability, it makes it heaps better, and all the different types of soccer you can play. My favorite part has to be the penalty shootouts when I’m the goal keeper or the shooter. The graphics are surprisingly good for such an old game and as a soccer fanatic I know anyone who loves soccer will love this game.

I just love everything about this game. The old school music makes it fun to listen to as well. The controls for this game are so easy to use, the first time I played, I could understand how to do it all in an instant. The play is easy to follow, because they use circles around the character you are currently using and they follow the soccer ball with the camera. The camera view has the ability to change in the options menu, along with your bench (subs) and player configuration on the field. This helps to provide you with a strategy.
When in offense, there are different ways to kick the ball, with lobs passes and goal shots and in defense, there

are normal tackles and slide tackles as well as a run faster key for both offense and defense. The goal keepers aren’t the best, but it just makes you play harder. The ball is easy to see, so you never get mixed up, which is different to most of the soccer games of the time.
I would suggest this game to anyone who thinks they are a soccer fanatic. It has all the best things you can ask for in a soccer game, even though it was made ages ago. I would give this DOS game a rating of 5 Stars for its excellent game play, its good options and some of its fun extras such as the custom team maker and penalty shootouts.
Actua Soccer 3 is an all-time favorite game of mine and beats any soccer game hands down. As a soccer lover, I have to say that Actua Soccer 3 is a must for any soccer lover or even any sport lover. If you like any sport game you will absolutely love this game for all the little things that it does. Easy and Fun to play, an all-round brilliant game. The best fun in the world to play.

Game Review 2 (written by Tunervan311) Added on: 03/11/2007
This is a great game for the average soccer fan. If you have that edge to play competition soccer, this is the game for you! Playing against other countries it allows for world wide competition. The graphics for the year 1999 are stunning I must say. This is actually probably the best soccer game in the 90's.
This game offers quite a challenge which gives the game some competition when playing against the computer. There are over 450 clubs, 10000 players, and hundreds of stadiums to play at. There are also cheat teams in this game which have such teams like all girls, and other excellent teams. This game is also great because it allows different weather conditions such as rain, snow, sun, etc. Trever Brooking is doing the commentary which is a better entertainer than Martin O'Neill was. GOAAAAL!
This game may have not been as marketable as Fifa 99 but this game has features that fifa 99 does not have. So if you’re looking for a change other than FIFA 99, this game is definitely for you!
The soundtrack by Robbie Williams does get a little annoying however that isn’t a reason to play this game because almost any game that you play the music will become a drag just after the first week of serious play. This is a pretty easy game to just pick up and start playing thanks to the somewhat easy controls. You can also set up custom tournaments and even though the players are in 2d, that doesn’t mean the game isn’t good.
I personally like to play the game as far as a challenge, I’m not always big into graphics so I definitely just suggest this game for you because it has kept me entertaining for weeks at a time. This game I’m telling you is definitely one of the best soccer games of the 90's. It's just one of those games that you can't put down until you really beat it. For me to like this game that’s impressive because I usually just like racing games or games like madden, but for some reason this game I just like to keep playing and playing. I hope you will take my advices and download this awesome game because you definitely will not regret it. I love playing games that have other countries because you can play your heritage and to me that sometimes makes things interesting! Hope you enjoy!!!
