If you like racing games, then Extreme-G 2 is the one for you. While being the sequel the ever popular Extreme G for the ever popular, yet old school video game system the Nintendo 64. Extreme G2 it suspected to be just as good, and it is. Although the handling may be a little shaky and their isn’t a multi player option its still a fun filled game. Not only is it fun filled it also has a story behind it.
Now how many racing games have that? Not very many. On top of that its addicting to play. One can sit and play for hours on end.
The vehicles are even more mind blowing. In a wow those are pretty freaking awesome looking cars type of way. Extreme G 2 gives the player a sort of future look to racing and what it can be made into, though I for one hope that never happens. Although the N64 game will be hard to fallow I believe this one is coming very close to being compared just as good if not better in some aspects.
There is many different type of game play. One is Extreme contest, where you compete in tournaments by racing
against other vehicles, or a single player option which has time trials and practices there is also and arcade mode, which is a lot like the one in the 64 game.
You also get a wide verity of weapons to temporary take out you’re opponent in a hope to come in first. A little Mario Kart sounding no? Well although you eliminate some space between you and the unfortunate car in front of you by using weapons, the weapons you are able to choose do not suck. There is a WIDE variety of missiles from homing missiles, rear missiles, and even multiple missiles. Now who doesn’t love missiles!? How many weapons can each vehicle hold? Well the number is somewhere very close to 20. Hmm lets see a vehicle that can hold 20 different types of weapons to gain an advantage. Now that sounds like my kind of game!
The graphics in this game are exactly what you would expect. Colorful and smooth as they should be. As well as good colors is a more high speed game that is a definite on keeping the speed most gamers need and crave. But don’t take my word for it try this game out.
