Game Review (written by Eric) Added on: 02/09/2008
Football Manager 3 was released in 1993 by the company Addictive. It is the last game in the Football Manager series.
At the start of the game, you will choose whether to play the English or Scottish league. You also need to choose if you want to play the Premier League, Division One, Two or Three. When you start the game, you will have control over the whole football team. You will manage everything about the team from personnel, training and others. You must make sure you build and manage a winning team.
To build a winning team you are also in charge of hiring players. Using the phone and the computer, you can hire team members, see game schedules and also view how your team is doing in the game. This means you will manage all the affairs of the team from the virtual computer.
It is your responsibility as team manager to manage the team players. The game allows you to control and train each player, to strengthen your team line-up. It really is a fantastic team management game. Aside from the game performance, you are also in charge of negotiating contracts, making trades, and getting new players. Aside from the players, you must also manage other people who work for the team.
It is a great statistical game that is both fun and intelligent. The game play is good and the controls are easy to learn making it a game that even novice players can play. Still despite the game being good it still has its own flaws. The graphics and interface are not as tight and smooth as those of the previous versions but they do not make the game bad. The sounds are good so that definitely adds to the good points of the game.
This is a fun game that can get sports enthusiasts interested. Even those who do not enjoy playing sports video games but enjoy economy management games will enjoy this game because more than the actual sports, the game focuses on the team management and on the finances and performance of the team. Those who enjoy statistics will definitely enjoy this game.
Those who have experienced playing the first Football Manager game may not enjoy this game as much because the first game was better than the third installment. This is also probably the reason that the game did not become as popular as the first two games. But this is still worth downloading if you have not played any sports management games.
