Game Review (written by Clint_8) Added on: 11/02/2006
This game is the 3rd simulation of the Ford line and it is pretty much to boost sales and give the Ford customers and owners a feel for the cars that will be out in 1992. This game has a various amount of new stuff in comparison to the previous 2 simulators. Take for instance, the first two games in the series has a 4 colour CGA palette compared to the crisp, high resolution EGA graphics of Ford Simulator 3.
Know I am not much of a Ford guy but this is a very good game.
The driver simulation is really good for its time and the graphics, sounds, and game play are much better than the previous Ford Simulator games. The game play is more realistic than the other Ford Simulator games because you can view every recent Ford model on the game and check the price for parts that you will need to speed up your car. You can even test drive these cars. But be careful, you can be pulled over by the police for speeding, hit a various amount of roadblocks, and just view the amazing scenery in this amazing 3D simulator.
Now, there is a difference in the type of transmission you get in your Ford automobile. The manual transmission handles and drives a little different in comparison to the automatic transmission. The only thing I did not like about this game was the fact that it didn’t show you the prices of the cars in the showcase. Besides that, this game is quite easy to understand.
Pretty much all you have to do is buy a car and then in a second you will be driving with nothing but the open road in front of you. However, I would suggest only downloading this game if you are a true, hardcore Ford fan. The Ford fan has proven to be the most pleased and happy with this game because it is a game about their favourite brand of car…Ford. Sure, every once in a while you will get the occasional Chevy or Dodge fan that will download the game and love it because of the great graphics and easy game play but like I said before, this game is truly for the Ford lovers out there. Oh, and one more thing, if you want this game to work best, I would highly suggest downloading it on to a computer with Windows XP because it will improve the graphics and game play unbelievably by even more.
