International Rally Championship

International Rally Championship is racing game that is part of the Europe’s 1996 Rally Championship sequel. The game is not solely based in the Europe part of the world. As the title says, it is based internationally allowing you to play all over the world. You are able to compete in sixteen different locations, many hat have not been included in the actual World Rally Championship. Some places that you will play are the deserts of Egypt or in the rainforests of Brazil.

With the number of locations that you are able to play in the game does have that diverse feel most require.
There are nine cars to select from for driving. You are only able to control each car from an outside view point, meaning you will no longer have the dashboard perspective that most racing games allow. There is a great selection of game modes that you are able to select from. These modes consist of arcade mode, time trial, simulation, championship, and custom. The simulation mode is where you will be rallying on every track and the championship will have you racing on various tracks depending on the difficulty. Custom mode allows you to make a lot of selections for the race. You are able to decide the weather conditions and even the number of players you are competing against. There are other selections you have available, but you’ll have to try out the game to find out what they are. International Rally Championship does have a multiplayer mode available. There is an IPX network, which is able to support up to eight players, or you can easily play with a friend over serial mode.
There is an additional feature part of this game. There is a track editor, which is allowing you to redesign some of your favorite racetracks in your own perspective. You also have the capability to create a custom made one, which allows you to make a racetrack that is like your own personality or what you would want to race on. The track editor has been designed to be quite simple, instead of this overly complicated track creator that I’ve seen in many other games.
The graphics in this game has been well thought out. From the layouts of the backgrounds to the design on the cars, you are able to tell that there has been some effort put into this game. International Rally Championship is a well-put together game with many great aspects to it. Ranging from the numerous tracks to being able to create your own tracks there is no way you’ll find yourself bored of this game any time soon. If you’ve played other rally car games and enjoyed them International Rally Championship will top pretty much every single one. It is a great game and an even better addition to your computer system. You will not be disappointed with this game in any sort of way!
