NBA hangtime is a great and enjoyable game. You'll love it the first time you'll lay eyes on it. I first played this game on Nintendo 64 and it went really well. It's got good game play but misses out on a lot of rules from original NBA basketball rules. It's got good graphics for its time but not so good mono sound.
You get to choose from all the 29 NBA basketball teams, but only 5 players from each team are available and only 2 players play on the court per team.

It's quite humorous with all the secrets like changing the worm's (Dennis Rodman) hair colour in the player selection screen or the street version of the court. Sad thing is that it missed
out on some great basketball legends such as Michael Jordan and Larry Bird.
Of course there is a funny create a player mode. First, you make a player name and pin number, then you choose what his head looks like, for example a cow, a basketball head or even an alien. Next you choose attributes, you get extra attribute points each time you win 4 games. The attributes are: height, weight, speed, power, shot, dunk, steal and block. Next choose 2 privileges, such as big head or super rebound. Next choose a speech name, a name the commentator addresses you by, and of course they are all very funny, like Bigfoot, bogeyman or even spunky.
Finally, you are on your way to become an NBA superstar! You can win some rewards such as being a world record holder e.g. if you get more than 55 points in a game, you are a world record holder. A game lasts 12 minutes with each quarter lasting exactly 3 minutes.
Also, in the humour category, if you are tired of the big head being small, you can out on the HUGE HEAD secret. As well as humour, you can play NBA stars with even better attributes than a standard player. For example, type the name Pippen and enter the PIN number as 0000 to get a much better Scottie Pippen.
Finally, Hangtime is a great game that is really worth playing. Even for it's time the graphics are great and humorous. Take my advice and play it for hours and hours of entertainment. I'll give the graphics an 8, the game play a 10, sound a 6 and humour 10. Overall, this game deserves a proud 9.5. Try this superb game and let me know what you think!
