Olympics Games 92 is probably one of the best DOS games that I have played; the graphics for the game were awesome for their time. My favourite event that could be played on this game was the 100m hurdles, as it was a challenge and something that is good for people who like a bit of a challenge. I recommend this game to anyone who likes sports games, as this game was a brilliant example of some of the awesome DOS games that were available back then.
I thought it was designed perfectly. I'm not a big Olympics person and this game really won me over and provided some fun button-mashing entertainment. Of course, it was designed to emulate the impending Olympic Games, so all of the events are Olympic style games.
The graphics were good and everything about the sound was good; I enjoyed the game for an Olympics game and I would recommend it to anyone as the controls are extremely easy to use. Overall, I give the game an 8/10 for game play 9/10 for graphics and a 10000/10 for fun. To anyone looking for a challenge, select this game as it is fun and allows you to represent your country, but also gives you a choice
of many others if you want to try something different. There are as many countries to choose from as there are events to play, so almost anyone should find something of interest here.
The lacking sides of the game was the limited amount of multi player action as more of it is neeeded for it to be a great game, but overall, the single player mode was good. The controls were really easy to use, even though there were a lot of different combinations to learn because Olympic Games 92 featured so many different events. Another nice thing was that you were able to choose which events you wanted to participate in. That way, if there was one that you didn't like or that you just couldn't get the hang of, you could leave it out of the routine to avoid frustration.
Overall, this was a good game that looked really nice for a DOS game of its time. It featured a lot of variety and some really excting game play, coupled with the great feeling of pride earned by competing for your country. This is a good old classic game that any sports fan is going to love.
