Game Review (written by Giligan) Added on: 07/10/2007
Player Manager 2 is a fun soccer game. It came out in 1995 by a company called Anco software Ltd. It is a sports game. I like this game because it is about soccer.
The graphics are pretty good. You can pass the ball, kick it and shoot for goal. The controls are good and the stadiums are nice. As soon as you play the game, you are a soccer player and also a manager of a team that has already been selected for you.
The soccer players can vary from ages 16-35 and will be ranked out of five stars. Another good feature that I liked was how you could choose your staff members and set how much amount of training your team will do. I found this realistic and a great feature. I like the touch how you could take control of your manager on the soccer field.
Also in Player Manager 2 you can add a joystick to play. This is needed to control your manager on the field. My favorite part of the game was just being on the soccer field and taking part in a match. Also being a manger was another one of my favorite parts. This game has above 1000 made up players which you can sell and buy. They both have eight different mental and physical skills.
There is also a training mode that shows the players ability and what he can do. Also the controls were easy once you got the hang of them. They were not too tough. Moving around is fairly easy and simple to do. In this game, they still apply all of the rules soccer and have all of the positions of players included in a soccer match.
To sum it up this game is really fun and enjoyable to play. I have had many fun times with it. I loved kicking goals. I would recommend this game to anybody who enjoys soccer or sports. I would rate it an eight out ten. Even though many soccer games today have much better graphics and features than this game, it is still a great game to play

Chris (07/09/2007) Loved this game when I was younger, but don't think it had the same qualities as SWOS or later Ultimate Soccer Manager but it was unique and it's still fun today.Ryan jose (07/05/2007) You can become the Player-Manager of a third division football team in this innovative action-strategy hybrid. The game features over 1000 fictional individual players to buy and sell, each with 8 different physical and mental skills rated, and you can choose which position to play these in. Four tactical systems are provided, but you can design your own and put it to the test in various situations using a ray trace system. Training sessions are presented visually, allowing you to pinpoint the exact ability and potential of a playa.Nicholas (07/01/2007) I think the game has a lot of good things about it. It has all the things a manger could eva want to doJjonnyj (06/30/2007) A Good little game in its day. A simple back to basics football management game. If you dont mind playing players who retired from the game years ago you'll get hours of fun from this little gem! |
