Game Review (written by Eric) Added on: 02/08/2008
Pole Position also known as Team F1 was created and released by Ascon GmbH in the 90s. The game was originally created for the MS-DOS format. The game lets you manage your own F1 racing team and lead it to victory.
The game features teams and drivers from the 1995 championship. This makes the game realistic and fun for F1 and other racing fans. It also gives the player the option to choose a team that was popular during that time. You can also choose to form your very own team which adds even more fun and excitement to the game.
At the start of the game, you need to hire drivers for your team.
Choosing drivers is important because each of them has different attributes. The drivers also have different prices. Expect to pay higher fees for the better drivers. The more expensive drivers have better skills which improve your chances of winning races. After choosing the driver, you need to build your team. You must hire mechanics, a competent pit crew, a road manager and the other staff that you need.
As the owner of the F1 team, you will also be responsible for working out manufacturers that will provide the gears and supplies that your team needs, including parts to create the powerful engine, tires and others. As team manager, you must manage all the financial and administrative

issues in the game.
The game features clean graphics especially since it was really created for the MS-DOS. Other games that were not really created for the PC and were just adapted from other gaming ports sometimes do not feature clean and smooth animation and graphics.
More than a racing game, Pole position is actually a race team management game. It really gives you a realistic insight of the business of racing cars. The game has highly-detailed graphics, realistic concepts, and fantastic sounds that make the game really engaging.
This game can be enjoyed by racing enthusiasts as well as those who enjoy strategy games. It’s a great game with a lot of depth and details. It’s so fun to play because it really gives you the feel of managing an F1 racing team.
This is a fantastic game that is really worth downloading even for those who are not particularly interested in racing games. This game may just let you see how complex the whole business of managing a racing team is.
