Game Review 1 (written by Chrissi) Added on: 11/16/2007
Rollcage has been an overlooked racing simulation that is definitely above average. With this game you are able to choose from a variety of car/driver combinations. You will have the usual choices for speed, grip, strength and acceleration that can be changed with each car you select. You will be able to make one of the four choices more dramatic than another, depending on what you feel you would want to be more improved than the other.
The game can be two players split screen, allowing you to do time attacks, practice runs and even more.
The racing cars are set in a futuristic world that you would not normally see in a racing simulation. With this the game has a different appeal than most racing simulations, making you want to try it even more.
The cars can have very dramatic speeds like 800km/h, which suits this game very much so. With these speeds being so outrageous you are able to do amazing things like drive on the tunnel ceilings or do crazy jumps. The game does have a 3D racetrack with boosters and power ups, odd areas like the top of the tunnels.
Rollcage does have the added bonus of weapons, which allow you to make the game a bit more difficult for your opponent. You can get weapons like plain

old rockets to the amazing heat seeking rockets and crazy things like lightning. The weapons to give this game a little added challenge, but they will not kill you. Your car is actually indestructible, so there is no way to be knocked out of the race, just stalled for a few moments. With the races being so face-paced, the use of weapons does assist in helping you to get the lead, but if you don’t enjoy using the weapons there are shields throughout the map to help protect you. Each race consists of 6 different racers; one being yourself, the other five can be a computer or if you have someone playing with you it will be you two against the computers.
Rollcage is definitely a great arcade game. The races are fast paced and full of excitement making it ever so enjoyable. With the selection of races and cars to select from and it being not too difficult in any way there is no way you won’t want to try this game out. This game can be played by all ages and enjoyed by any age as well. So it’s time to get to the future and race away.

Game Review 2 (written by Alexb123) Added on: 04/02/2007
Rollcage is a fun and addictive arcade game which is fun and enjoyable for all ages. With some half-decent graphics effects, accompanied by stereotypical drum and bass soundtrack, and pulse-pounding fast racing action, the experience is all pulled together.
Rollcage is set in the near future, but doesn’t really have any storyline to it at all. There are a few different characters that you can choose from, each with different strengths and weaknesses, and there are a few different tracks, some of which you need to play through a few of the races to unlock.
While the gameplay is fast and fun for a while, and the tracks are numerous and varied in their styles, the game can get rather repetitive, as with most driving games. Also, it can get rather irritating at times, when you seem to be constantly losing against the opposition. But this is to be expected with such games. But ignore these few minor flaws, and you’re left with an enjoyable and instantly satisfying arcade racing experience.
The game can be enjoyed by all the family, from young children new to games, to veterans of gaming. I enjoyed this game a lot, it provided me with multiple hours of boredom busting, when I had not much else to do. Give this game a try, whatever age you are, even if you’re not the biggest fan of racing games. I would give this game 7 out of 10.
