Game Review (written by Rach13) Added on: 08/13/2007
Ski or Die it’s only one of the most awesome games I’ve ever played! It is a game that the whole family can enjoy, it appeals to all ages. The game involves 5 different winter sports events in which you can practise or compete. You start the game off in Rodney's shop where you can choose controls, events, players and practise/tournament mode etc. The five events in which you can compete are the downhill blitz, the half-pipe, the aero aerial. The snowball blast and the innertube thrash. Most of these are fairly self explanatory, but I'll try to describe them a little. In the downhill event you ski down a mountain against the clock. Make sure to jump the chasms or you will end up in a heap. There are also mounds of snow over which you should perform some tricks. In the half-pipe event you do as many fancy tricks for points as you can within a certain time limit. However you need to try and go through the flags as well.
The aero aerials are a great event! It was always my favourite although I’m not sure why as it was always the event I was the worst at! This event is just like you see at the Olympics, you start at the top of the ramp and once you have skied down and reached the top again you do the best tricks that you can to score points. I had a tendency when I was younger to try and do too much at once. I had several non-feet first landings! But it was still good fun. The snowball blast while not really a proper sports event is still good fun. The object is to throw snowball at the kids that are attacking you. You score points whenever you hit them. The tubing event was also one of my favourites. Two competitors compete to be the first to the bottom of the hill. Along the way you can run over objects and collect them. Try not to fall out!
Well that pretty much sums up the game. I think the graphics are pretty decent. Overall I give this game 10 of 10. It’s a fantastic game I’ve ever played! If you've never heard of it before give it a go! Or if you remember it and haven't played it in a while download it! I recommend it to all ages! Good luck!
