Game Review (written by Bob00) Added on: 11/16/2008
Finally, a game of pool that everybody can enjoy! Whether you are a pool expert or the only use you see in a pool cue is a weapon, this is a game which you'll definitely enjoy. It's very easy to play whilst maintaining that realistic edge which all good games require.
For those who don't know the rules, there is an easy to understand rule guide and a simple instruction sheet on how to play the game.
The game itself has very decent graphics which allows for increased enjoyment and a good fluidity of game play.

Virtual Pool controls are simple to learn without removing from the game's realism. The player begins by lining their shot with the use of either the keyboard's arrow keys, or analog stick or D-pad of another controller. The player will then have the option of highlighting the path guide which shows the direction of the white ball and any other balls which are hit along the way. The player then depresses the shoot button once which brings up a power meter that determines the power behind the shot. A final press of the shoot button shows the shot animation and the actual flight of the ball. Additionally, whilst setting up the shot, the player is able to adjust the elevation

of the cue by holding down a button which allows the cue to be moved up and down. The total range of controls and shot options makes the player feel more in control of the game and adds to the enjoyment of this game.
One downside which can sometimes cause frustration is the oversensitivity of the keys. When trying to angle a shot, it boarders on impossible to perfectly line up the balls as the gentlest of taps can sent the cue a longer than anticipated way. This is also the case when attempting to measure the amount of power per shot. For this reason, a separate controller may prove the best option however is not necessary.
The only real downside to this game is in the sound quality. The crowd noise and the noise of the balls being hit is almost wooden and hollow sounding and can detract a little from the gameplay.
Overall, this game is a very good pool game. Whilst the sound could be improved, the actual gameplay is fun and it allows anybody to play and enjoy the game of pool.

This is one of my favorite and probably the best billiards game out there. The graphics and the game play are very very good. If you are a pool player you're gonna really like this game.

I never was really good at pool, but in this game it did not matter how bad I am against people I was thrilled to find a game of pool that I was actually good at.

A very good game which reminds me of my childhood. I can ignore the poor graphics because of this, and this game reminds me of all the arguments I had - i.e Who should have a turn. Thoroughly worth a download.
