Game Review (written by Litsidewalk) Added on: 09/24/2006
A-Train. A true classic and one of my favorite simulator games of all time.
Though this game didn't become a hit, it is still definitely worth playing! It is challenging and requires a lot of thought and strategy, but it becomes addicting! A-Train is a lot of fun to play, and it is one of the classics, no matter what the reviews may say. Created by the same people as The Sims series, A-Train has many of the same great characteristics. It is well thought out and original.

A-Train is a lot of fun to play, and it is one of the classics, no matter what the reviews may say. Created by the same people as The Sims series, A-Train has many of the same great characteristics. It is well thought out and original. For people who enjoy the Sims, Railroad Tycoon, Rollercoaster Tycoon, or any other business simulation game, this is the game for you. With acceptable graphics and a surprise around every corner, A-Train brings a new twist to

every game.
Perhaps the reason that this game didn't instantly become a success is that, unlike many of the games you see on the market today, this game requires skill and thinking. There are no easy giveaways, and though there might be a few cheat codes, you'll have to search to find them. It's realistic in its simulation, as well as in the fact that nothing good comes easy! IGN.com gave this game 6.0 out of 10. They say "I'm sure if Gary Coleman owned a PlayStation (and he probably does), A Train would probably be one of his favorite games. ... While A Train is undoubtedly a quality game, is there enough of a specialist audience for it?" I think that, even if there wasn't much of an audience for A-Train back when it was released in 1996, there certainly is one now that it's become a classic. For train lovers or even businessmen, this is a must-download game.
There are 40 trains to choose from, and 20 different scenarios. Originally available on Play station systems, A-Train is also available for PCs. It's a great game for kids to grow up with, learning how to deal with difficult situations and, hey, even beginning to love trains. A great way to work up to the more difficult simulator games, it's a good thing that A-Train is available for download. Now that I've talked your ear off about this amazing game, make sure to download it so that you can enjoy it for yourself. It's definitely worth it! It will test your intellect, your strategy and your creativity. Good luck!

I am obsessed with A-Train. Yeah, I know games like SimCity are much more complex and stimulating, but it is something about this game that is so addicting to me.

I read this one in a computer book and it looks very interesting being you get to make a train run on what would be your idea of a city in a way that each train works without colliding! It’s too challenging and fun! Downloading it immediately!

This game is fantastic. Once you try it, you will not stop until you reach the end of the board. With its addictive gameplay and up to date graphics you will keep playing even way after you’re done. A-Train is a true classic. It takes a little brain power to get used to it but after you do you will be hooked.

I had A-Train when it first came out. I would synchronize the trains, and just sit back and watch the action. There was a book too that was a good read.

Great game. Similar to Railroad Tycoon but more challenging. The graphics are mediocre but a lot of fun to play. A little hard to get started but once you understand it becomes very entertaining. You just want to keep playing all day.

I also enjoyed this game. I used to play a game like it when I was a kid, so it brings back a lot of memories of my abusive childhood when I would hide from my father in the small closet in my room and play this game on the crappy old laptop I found in a dumpster outside of the electronics store down the street. I had some fun times with this game.
