Game Review (written by Eric) Added on: 01/11/2008
The Crescent Haw Revenge is the sequel to the original BattleTech and continues the adventures of Jason Youngblood a Mech Warrior in a futuristic universe. Jason is out to defeat the enemy BattleMechs and save his father. It is a real time strategy game that has a top down perspective.
The graphics and the sounds are amazing. They are pretty good. The game play is interesting. You must successfully lead you units to battle with enemy units. Each of the BattleMech under your command has its own strengths and attribute. They have different speeds, armors, firepower’s and others and you must utilize your Battle Mech’s strengths to get the most effective outcome. You must inspect the battlefield and formulate the right strategy. You have to make the right decisions as to when to engage the enemy, the formation of forces and others.
The controls of the game are pretty smooth and easy to learn and manage. There is a combat menu that will help us manage out BattleMechs. This menu features the speed by which our units are moving and you can also set the points of your units’ movement through the menu. The game is too challenging and it gets very difficult to defeat enemy forces but if you are patient and loves a good challenge then this game is for you.
If you are a novice and do not have the time and the patience for difficult games then I say pass up on this one. You can choose to try some of the easier RPG available online. You can adjust the speed of the game, which helps you pass through certain phases faster or watch other activities more closely.
This game is definitely worth a try for especially for those who are into RPG. If you’re curious as to how the early RPG was, then download Battle Tech 2 now and just give it a try.
