The game is simple, yet in my opinion quite addictive, and I’ve played it many times.
It's generally a race game, where you and other players have to try to get to different locations on your map as quick as possible, so you can win a bundle of cash. Then you use this cash, to buy yourself properties around the board, which will then make you even more cash as you earn 'rent' money from them. If you’re lucky enough to get a whole set of properties in one location, then the rent for that town/city is doubled! Capital cities such as London and Paris, earn you more money than smaller surrounding towns, but don't forget that they are also more expensive too!
You also can collect different cards on the way which do different things, such as flying you to a capital city of your choice, or credit cards so you can buy properties now, and pay later, or even extra reels to spin to earn you more moves.
Sounds easy enough, but as well as competing against other players and/or the computer, you also have the infamous Dr Drago following you and the others around. If your unlucky enough to have Dr Drago on your tail, he will rip up your cards, spend your money on useless things, and just be a general pain in the butt. And that’s him in a GOOD mood! Whilst in a bad mood, he'll buy properties for you at more than double the value, spend even more for your hard earned cash on useless things, or just decide to give it to your opposition instead! What a generous guy huh?
The only way you can get rid of him, is by using a
special card, telling him to 'push off', or by cruising past another player, and pawning him off on them instead! You can set up the game so you can play against the computer, or if your spending some family time, play with them instead. Or you can just go for a nice healthy mix of the two, its all up to you! You also get to decide how many locations to race to, from 1-999!
The object of the game is to have the most money by the end of all the races! Easy as that! A bit like monopoly, but for the computer, and with an extra fun twist! Don't forget to use your special Father Christmas card in December for a nice treat from the man himself!
Play by yourself, or with friends, but if your anything like me, I know you'll play it more than once!
