You will be attempting to get your nation into high levers of power over a twenty-year term during the 3rd Century BC. You will have a selection from sixteen different playable nations. Five of which are more likely for you to complete than the other eleven. Those nations consist of Rome, Carthage, Seleucid, Ptolemaic, and Macedonia.
Each turn that you is based as two weeks in the game.

You will be capable of moving your army on both land and sea create new armed forces and take part in battles. The way the city is run is quite simple. You have a certain amount of people you can have per team and you must produce supplies. The supplies will be affected in many ways depending on the number of people in your city and the time of year. The supplies are mandatory for the production of everything. The best times of the year for production are spring and summer just like real life. There is a total of twelve weeks per season, so during each season you will have six turns to take.
The army that you can create is able to consist of numerous types of infantry. Some of these infantry consist of light and heavy infantry, light and heavy cavalry, and archers. It does take a lot of time to create an army, but if you do have to take part in combat sooner than expected you will be able to send what ever you have created already into combat.
The graphics that have been done for this game are quite simplistic. They are detailed to the point you are able to tell what is taking place at the time and you will have a smaller screen that has an overview map of Europe, which is right next to your main playing screen. The controls are also very basic. You will be using your mouse and keyboard to make any changes or commands.
In the end, Imperial Conquest 2 is a wonderfully designed war game that has been set in the ancient times. The game is quite challenging for any player, making it enjoyable for all levels of players. You do require a lot of strategic thought throughout the entire game play.
