Game Review (written by Macxthegamer) Added on: 10/15/2007
L.E.D. wars was fun and exciting RTS game I remember playing when I was a little kid, and I remember enjoying it.
The graphics were pretty good, and it’s what you would not expect from an older game, the only complaint I have, is that there were very few infantry-type units to chose from, and the enemies were just colorized copies.
Gameplay was overall pretty smooth, except a few times I ran into a bug that wouldn't let me select a building. The battles were fun to watch, and put you on the edge of your seat wondering if your army would win. Missions got sort of boring though, after the first 3 or 4 missions (crush the enemy). Also, there was no way to organize your men, so if you made a very large army, it is hard to select them all.
Music and sound. The sounds were at times a little fuzzy, and sometimes the sound would mess up and you couldn't hear anything. The music was really soft and you could barely hear it, I couldn't find any way to turn it up.
The environment was alright, but not anything very spectacular, mostly just cliffs and explosion debris. There weren't a realistic number of trees, etc. either.
The story was cool, and sometimes, the missions were very challenging and after I ran out of LED, I had nothing left to do except watch my men die. After getting through as many missions as I could, I decided to try the multiplayer mode against one of my friends.
Overall, my ratings are as follows:
Graphics: 8/10
Sound: 6/10
Music: 6/10
Gameplay: 8/10
Story: 9/10
Overall: 37/50 = Not bad, but not the best.
Final comments:
If you want a game that needs a lot of strategy, and the gaming skills of Mario, then I would advise downloading this game, and playing it like I did...hour, after hour...
