As a kid I loved to play chess. I played with my father, with my grandfather, with my mother, and basically with anyone who would accept the challenge. Chess is not the typical teenager or children's game. It requires thinking, mostly planning ahead. You can't just play it mindlessly like we do with other games. So as I played along side the people I knew, I could never beat them, I could never get good enough. I looked around for ways to get better and discovered Medieval Chess: A great and challenging classic chess game for those who love chess! I remember playing this game when I was younger and loving the graphics and the animations given to each piece.
We all love Harry Potter chess right? Well this is Harry Potter chess with you at the wheel. All the pieces have their own animations as they are captured. The pieces do not only look like wooden things like normal pieces do (like pawns are usually pillars with a sphere on top) but they actually look like people in a battle field. In fact, you are basically on a battle field but one that follows the rules of chess. It is a battle that requires logic and wit. If you defeat the enemy, your chess level goes up and you face harder, more difficult foes that need to be defeated.
Of course in this day in addition to age, there are many many many more
chess progams that provide other skins for the pieces like glass or wood and they all have different levels and chess masters, tutorials and other little mini games. But when it comes down to plain old classic chess, Medieval chess is the game for you. Test your wit and watch as numerous battles take place infront of your very eyes.
Because of this great amazing and fabulous game, I became great at chess. I was beating my friends, beating my family and I had become a "relative" chess master. The graphics are a great bonus and the little animations that go along with each capture are great to watch. The board switches colors and you play different levels and it is really satisfying when you finally beat that opponent that has been taunting you and taking over your mind until you beat them. I would recommend this game to all chess lovers who enjoy thieir chess games with just enough fun and just enough challenge.
