Game Review 1 (written by Chrissi) Added on: 11/16/2007
Metal Knights is a strategy game that has been created to have as easy game play possible. It is a multiplayer turn based game that you are able to play online of the NetMetal server that was created specifically for this game.
The game has been created as a turn based game. Each turn can range from five minutes to ten minutes, depending on the amount of strategizing you feel like you need to do. At the beginning of the game you are trying to build up your empire, but throughout each turn you will see the difference.
You will slowly be creating more and more towns and units making the turns start to last longer each time a round. The games can take more than a day to play, depending on how well your opponents are and yourself in that matter. It is advised to go through and read the tutorial that will assist you in learning the basic moves available and the various features that you could attempt to use. Learning the game isn’t actually too difficult, but it will take a lot of time and effort to master the game.
The great part about Metal Knights is that it has a fully integrated internet support system. This allows you to play up to ten different players in

each game. You will be able to have alliances and team up against other players, and then maybe be the devious one and turn on your alliance! There are three different game servers running 24 hours a day, seven days a week. So depending on the time of day you play you could be playing people from all over the world. The game consists of over two hundred very unique battlefields that you can select from. So depending on how much you play this game, you may never see the same map twice. You are also able to go through and create or edit maps, making it that you can have your own personal field of battle you’re your friends. There are also thirty-four very unique military units. There is the selection of ground units ranging from a soldier all the way to a Metal Knight. You will also have navy units and air units, both having a great selection to choose from. This game has a lot of great aspects to it, and with the large amount of units and maps it just gives it that great strategic war feel that you will enjoy for a long period of time.
Metal Knight is still a growing game as the creators have made it that the players are able to have comments and suggestions about the game, so if you feel there is something that needs to be added on let the creators know. Who knows, you might see it in your next game. This game is a well-developed strategic turn based war game. It may start off a little slow, but soon enough you will be involved in the deadliest battles. Metal Knights is a must have on your computer since there is no way you will ever want to stop playing, even if you’ve been up for three days already.

Game Review 2 (written by Lghtsga) Added on: 03/24/2007
This is by far the best strategy "real time" game there is. My father used to play it a lot and I remember watching him and wanting to play and finally he let me play and I beat his records and he was so furious! He wouldn’t stop playing until he beat my kill count. But the game is wonderful to play, easy to catch on to and the rendering is so, that if I didn’t know better I might say that it was a flash game not a DOS game. The controls may be a bit bitter for a novice player but nonetheless this game is very good. You might compare it to the modern day games of this type such as Age of Empires 1 or Age of Mythology or Zango's own David and Goliath.
The set up of this game is nice for me because I didn't need an emulator to play it and the whole emulator thing doesn't attract me as does the cmd prompt in Windows that you need to use to play these games. This game definitely goes next to my other top ten games on the shelf along with Grand Theft Auto which I may suggest also. Overall, this game is one of the best for its images (even now with 3D all over) and gameplay ease. But anyway have fun playing Metal Knight!
