Game Review (written by Eric) Added on: 03/17/2008
Nectaris is a game that is often compared to the game Military Madness. Some actually think the two games are the same when in fact they are just highly similar. Nectaris is a game that involves a variety of gameplay. All the games involved in the series of games contained in Nectaris were created by Hudson Soft. Nectaris is a turn-based strategy game that takes place in a hexagonal board.
The game is set in the year 2014 with the whole solar system controlled by the Solar Union.
There are three former colonies that have captured the following mining worlds: Pacifica, Triton and Romulus. Because of the three colonies’ control over the three worlds, there is a threat of an economic instability in the whole solar system.
It is now up to you to defend your home base. At the start of the game, you will have a small army composed of a few soldiers. You are originally given the task of defending a satellite dish. It is your responsibility to make your army grow so that you can defeat enemy forces.
It is important to have good strategy and not just a strong army. You will win battles based on your defence and attack strategies. You can not create units but you can capture enemy units.
The game is pretty big with ninety six levels. The game also features eight multi-player maps. The game features enough obstacles and enemies that you need to defeat. You will surely spend countless hours on the game trying to finish it.
The game has excellent graphics and excellent music as well. Together you get a game that pulls you inside it. You get so engrossed in the game that you can get lost in it for many, many hours without you noticing how you have just spent the last several hours just playing game.
Another factor that makes the game extremely engaging is the story line itself. The game will just keep your adrenalines pumping as the game unfolds. It is filled with adventure and fun.
The game does not involve too much micromanagement so you can actually relax when playing the game. You don’t have to stress over every little thing in the game. You can just focus on the big picture.
I recommend this anyone who is into big adventure games. You will enjoy this game for sure! Don’t hesitate, download it right away!
