In the distant future, Earth as we know it does not exist. An advanced society, we lived a life of comfort and ease in a world of great technology. Unfortunately for us, this technology was focused so much on comforts, we neglected our defense and because of this negligence, we were bombarded by a series of comets, reducing our once proud civilization to nothing but rubble.
In a post-apocalyptic world, you lead a band of survivors, desperate to gain a foothold for the leadership of this new budding society, competing with other rival bands for this position, as well as avoiding the evil assassins guild and the deadly beasts that wander the wilderness that would rather tear your buildings down than look at them.

As with
most RTS games, resources are the key to a healthy army. Collect food to feed your soldiers and attract more settlers to your tribe. Collect stone to build buildings and hurl from catapults at your enemies. Collect metal to attempt rebuilding crude machines of war, similar to the ones lost years before.
Advancement is similar to most RTS games, but instead of different races, the player may advance his or her society in the way that reflects their style of gameplay. For example, a hard-hitting player may choose to research military early on. One who likes to hoard resources may prefer to upgrade agriculture or engineering and so on. One who prefers to walk the supernatural road may like to research Religion and Magic, revealing some of the game's more mystical units.
The quirky unit's such as the giant fan modified into a crude helicopter, the hard hitting boomer mobile cannon or the menacing, musket wielding grizzly bear cavalry made it clear that the early game units, such as the speeder, with its liquid cooled machine gun, the swordsmen and scorchers were all in all useless after the first few levels. If the game had a major flaw, it would be that it is clear which units to build. "Build this unit and you win the game" is how best to describe the tactics necessary in multiplayer.
All in all, this game was a fun title, its gameplay fairly simplistic, its graphics refreshing for its age, and its fantasy theme dated, but entertaining all the same. 7 out of 10.
