Game Review (written by Medredraider) Added on: 12/10/2006
This is one of those computer games that you are surprised about when people say they have never heard of it. Spot is a classic game that has never had much of a following, but that won't stop anyone and everyone from enjoying this timeless classic. Your goal in this game, as the 7-up Spot, is to play against another person and fill the board with your own color pieces. Every time you move your piece one space over, the Spot duplicates to that point and leaves a copy of him behind. If he moves over more than one space, he does not copy himself over. This game will not be as simple as it sounds; each time you move your Spot next to your opponent’s color, you change his color into your color, giving you more pieces, but if your opponent moves next to your color, then you must give your piece over to your opponent. The game ends when the board has no blank spots left, or when all of the pieces are a single color.
This game will be able to take anyone back to the good ole days when graphics like these were superb and top of the line. The only graphics that are more than just still pictures are the animations of the Spot moving from space to space. These animations are very good for a DOS game and are a definite plus for a strategy game, most of which would not usually have any moving graphics or animations.
This game was fantastic for me when I was a kid as it still is today. Kids absolutely love the Spot cartoon and his various animations, and adults love the challenge of the game. This is also a very good way for youthful minds to grow in a clean environment. Many games out today do not strengthen many developmental skills and also are not very wholesome games for the family. Spot has something for everyone and it can enhance the mental development of a child by teaching him or her how to strategize. Adults will find that this game can not only test out how well you can think and strategize, but also keep your mind sharp by simply practicing this game.
Download this game and get ready for hours and hours of fun in the world of Spot! You will get lost in this mesmerizing game for hours on end and wonder how this could have been out for so long with you missing out on the fun!
