Tank Wars

This is a great game for people that like war games. It is simple and easy to use. You can go online and find the demo or purchase a full version for a small cost. Using the demo version limits your graphics so that you cannot play full screen.
You have a choice of four (4) types of tanks. Each of the tanks has progressively better armor, but will travel slower. Each tank has a machine gun, cannon or missile weapon, except the fourth tank. The fourth tank has machine guns, cannons and mines.

The fourth tank does not have missiles.
Your battles take place in an urban environment. You start at level one where you battle two tanks. At each higher level, there are more tanks and usually at least one helicopter that you battle.
There are simple keyboard commands that allow you to move the tank forward, backwards and to turn. There is also a keyboard command that switches from weapon to weapon. You have another keyboard command that raises and lower the turret for aiming at the targets.
As you travel around the city, you can pick up different power enhancements. One is an armor enhancement that strengthens your tank against enemy hits. Another is a speed enhancement. And another is increased battle damage. The increased battle damage allows you to destroy enemy tanks quicker. The last enhancement that you can pick up is a nuclear weapon. You can easily destroy all enemy tanks and the helicopter with a nuclear weapon as long as they are all on the radar.
The radar helps you locate the enemy. It does not cover the entire area, but alerts you to nearby enemy and shows you their movement. The helicopter location is also tracked on the radar when it is in range.
You are awarded points for accuracy and speed. The more accurate you are, meaning the lees missed shots, and the quickness with which you eliminate all the enemy tanks and helicopter is how you increase your score. The score is calculated at the end of each level.
As you move to higher levels the tanks get faster and more aggressive towards you. As the levels start you need to be ready to move out or they will be right on top of you shooting at you.
It is great fun. There is a maximum of ten or eleven levels, but once you reach that level you just keep replaying that level but your score can increase. My highest score so far was around 27,000.
