Game Review (written by Zebs_) Added on: 01/11/2007
I had downloaded this file on a whim, and with no particular expectations. Being a very small file, it was a nice easy download, so with a short zip, and a nice few clicks, I was ready to go.
At first glance, this program leaves you with a large, empty, gray screen. This was a little bit intimidating, but to any user relatively easy to figure out with a little work. There is no tool box, just the bar at the top, with file and whatnot.
There are few options, with some changes that are a little tough to understand and not too noticeable when you have finished your image. You start by loading an image, which you wish to convert to the image that will be seen once the illusion has been figured out. I found that relatively simple images work the best. These would be things with heavy lines, or little to no complication.
The only file formats that are accepted seem to be .BMP, and .WMF. This is a bit of an inconvenience, but with a little work, you can convert any images. You can at that point change the details of the final product. Granulations and whatever else you might need to. Then, you can choose what will be the outside image. You can either have some little random pattern made, or load your own image for the image to be used. I found this feature nice, as the random patterns, without changing any of the colors looked as though they would give you a seizure. Once an overlay is chosen, simply hit render, and you are done.
I found the image that I was presented with rather nice. After staring at it for a while, I managed to cross my eyes, and make out some lines of the sunset that I had used. As it says in the instructions, photos will not work. I tested this, and found the help file to be right. Although a simple cartoon image that I had taken from the Television worked fine. After this, I tested with a grayscale. I found this to work incredibly well, and was satisfied with my results. This program is very good for simple things. With a little work, a person could easily put together a small collection of images to amuse someone as a gift. But if you are hoping to put yourself into a 3-d hidden picture, you will need to do much work for this to turn out. I would rate this program a 6.7 out of 10. I gave the rating for being rather amusing, and simple.
