Game Review 1 (written by Chrissi) Added on: 11/21/2007
Virtual Sound Blaster isn’t actually a wonderful and addictive game. When using an old DOS computer you will require a virtual sound blaster drive to play certain games from companies like the Learning Company. Some games that it was most required on was Spellbound. It was needed so you were able to send spoken text to the output of your computer.
The program also allowed the user to tamper with the sounds that were on their computer. Virtual Sound Blaster can assist in a lot of ways when it comes to the set up of your computer. If you have some sounds that are distorted you were capable of just turning on your sound blaster and attempting to repair those sounds. There are so many different things that you can do with this program. The ability to change the sounds on your computer such as the treble and bass made it that you could customize your computer in many different ways other than just visually.
Even though Virtual Sound Blaster isn’t a game in any way, it is probably one of the best downloads you could possibly add on to your computer. When you run into a problem with any form of sound on your computer you are able to load up your Virtual Sound Blaster and go through repairing those errors or replace them with new and improved sounds.
In the games you were now able to switch which sounds were louder than the others during game play. With the option to raise the voice higher than the musical background it was easier to understand exactly what was being said. This allowed you to understand some instructions far easier than before.
Virtual Sound Blaster has been a program used for many years on a large amount of computer systems and games. Up until 2005 many people would still be trying to upgrade their general sound programs on their computer and virtual sound blaster was one of the most popular programs that would be downloaded to assist them. Since 2005 though most new systems have been developed with better sound capabilities and speakers so there isn’t as high of a need for this program. Even though the newer computers have been equipped with better sound equipment there is always that chance of a sound error resulting in you needing assistance, so Virtual Sound Blaster would be a great download for any computer today. If you would like to customize sounds that are played on your computer, Virtual Sound Blaster would be a great way to accomplish those creative needs that you have.

This program allowed and still allowed users, old and young, to tamper and exploit their system sound system functions on their personal computer. This program also allows users to multi function on games and computer basic sound systems. This program also became majorly used on Windows consumer computers and later became a basic program for fixing sound on computers for consumer after 1997.
I enjoyed this program because of the multiple functions it allowed me to use to exploit my computers default sound system. It was also fun to turn up all the volumes and have a friend or friends began a game and get scared and shocked by the loudness of the volume. Another interesting feature was the ability to turn up treble and mod and bass and other certain noises and sounds that way if the music is too loud, you can turn up the voice and turn down the music which allowed you to finally understand what the character or characters are saying to each other or to you. This program was used up until 2005 when newer systems were developed and better speakers became available to consumers on a national level.

James blake (04/12/2007) This is a decent utility, if you've been having difficulty getting the sound to work of some of the games downloaded from this site. It seems to work nearly all the time, and is simple to use, if you have basic computer knowledge. |
